Chrome Extension Privacy Policy

The PatchReply Chrome extension is operated by NMajor Studios LLC, a Wyoming limited liability company. Its single purpose is to let you review web pages: leave Notes and Text edits on a page and export or share them as a Review report. This policy covers the extension; our Privacy Policy covers the website and accounts.
1. What stays on your device
When you start a review and deliberately add a Note (by holding your chosen modifier key and clicking, or using Add note), the extension records on your device:
- the page address and title, and details of the element, text, point, or area you selected;
- a screenshot of that part of the page and a small overview of the page;
- capture details such as browser, operating system, window size, and color scheme; and
- the text of your Note or Text edit.
The extension does not collect your browsing history, page contents you didn’t select, form values, passwords, or cookies, and it does not capture anything unless you’re actively adding a Note.
2. Voice notes
Voice is optional. The extension uses your microphone only while you hold to record a Note. If you add your own OpenAI API key, your recording is sent directly from the extension to OpenAI to be transcribed. Your key and your recordings are never sent to PatchReply. Your key is stored only in the extension on your device, and you can remove it at any time.
3. What leaves your device, and only when you choose
- Exports (Review report, JSON, Agent prompt) are created on your device and go wherever you save or paste them.
- Public links: if you choose Publish public link and sign in, the extension uploads that report’s notes, page details, and the screenshots you included to PatchReply, where anyone with the link can read them. Page addresses are uploaded without query strings or fragments.
4. Limited Use
The use of information received from Chrome APIs adheres to the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. We use data only to provide the extension’s review features. We don’t sell it, use it for advertising, use it to determine creditworthiness, or let people read it except with your permission, for security, or as required by law.
5. Deleting data
You can delete a review in the extension at any time, and removing the extension deletes its local data. Public links can be deleted from your dashboard, and deleting your account deletes all of them.
